Overview

This page summarizes how Cleaning LAB INC. handles shipping, returns, refunds, and order issues for products purchased through our online store. Full binding terms are set forth in our Terms of Sale. In any conflict between this summary and the Terms of Sale, the Terms of Sale govern.

Shipping

Where We Ship

We ship to addresses within the 48 contiguous United States only.

We do not ship to:

  • California — due to Proposition 65 and VOC regulations

  • Alaska and Hawaii — due to hazmat ground-shipping limitations

  • Puerto Rico, Guam, U.S. Virgin Islands, and other U.S. territories — due to hazmat territorial restrictions

  • APO / FPO / DPO military addresses — due to hazmat shipping restrictions

  • PO Boxes — due to carrier limitations on hazardous materials shipments

Orders placed to excluded territories will be automatically cancelled and refunded in full, and you will be notified by email.

Carrier and Method

We ship via USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate, in compliance with hazardous materials ground-transportation regulations.

Order Processing Time

Orders are typically processed and dispatched within 1–3 business days of order acceptance. Orders placed on weekends or U.S. federal holidays are processed on the next business day.

Estimated Delivery Time

After dispatch, USPS Priority Mail typically delivers within 3–7 business days to most destinations in the contiguous U.S. Delivery times are estimates provided by the carrier and are not guaranteed by Cleaning LAB.

Shipping Cost

Shipping cost is calculated at checkout based on order size and destination. The amount displayed at checkout is final, with applicable sales tax added separately where required.

Order Tracking

Once your order ships, you will receive a confirmation email with a USPS tracking number. You can track your shipment directly at usps.com/tracking.

Quantity Limits

Due to USPS hazmat ground-shipping volume restrictions, each shipment is limited to a maximum of 4 units of liquid product. Larger orders may be split into multiple shipments at no additional charge to you.

Address Accuracy

You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address at checkout. If a package is returned to us due to an incorrect address, an undeliverable address, or refusal of delivery:

  • We will contact you to arrange re-shipment at your expense, or

  • You may cancel and request a refund minus original shipping cost and a 15% restocking fee

Risk of Loss in Transit

Title and risk of loss for products transfer to you when we hand the package to USPS. This is the standard "FOB Origin" arrangement under U.S. commercial law. For damaged-in-transit handling, see the Damaged or Leaking Upon Arrival section below.

Returns

Return Window

You may request a return within 30 days of the original delivery date (per USPS tracking confirmation).

What Can Be Returned

We accept returns only of products that are:

  • Unopened, with all original seals and tamper-evident features intact

  • Unused, with no signs of use, application, or contamination

  • In original packaging, with all labels readable and undamaged

  • Returned within the 30-day window

What Cannot Be Returned

Due to safety, sanitary, and product-integrity reasons standard for chemical products, we do not accept returns of:

  • Opened, used, or partially used products

  • Products with broken or missing seals

  • Products with damaged or missing labels

  • Products in damaged or compromised packaging (unless the damage occurred in transit — see Damaged or Leaking section)

  • Products returned more than 30 days after delivery

  • Products returned without prior Return Authorization

This restriction is industry standard for cleaning chemicals and other hazardous-material products and is in place for the safety of our staff and other customers.

How to Initiate a Return

  1. Contact us at cleaning.lab.info@gmail.com within 30 days of delivery, with your order number and reason for return.

  2. Receive a Return Authorization (RA) number from us by email.

  3. Ship the product back to the address we provide, with the RA number clearly written on the package and the original packing slip enclosed.

  4. Pay return shipping — return shipping is your responsibility unless the return is due to our error (wrong product shipped, defective product, etc.).

 

Returns sent without a Return Authorization will be refused or returned to you at your expense. Always contact us before shipping anything back.

Restocking Fee and Shipping Costs

  • A 15% restocking fee is applied to the value of returned products and deducted from your refund.

  • Original shipping charges are non-refundable, except in cases where the return is due to our error.

  • Return shipping is your responsibility unless we caused the reason for return.

Refund Processing

Once we receive your return and confirm eligibility (typically 1–3 business days after delivery to us), refunds are issued to your original payment method. Refunds typically appear in your account within 5–10 business days, depending on your card issuer or PayPal processing time.

We will notify you by email when your refund has been processed.

Damaged or Leaking Upon Arrival

If your order arrives with visible package damage, leakage, or broken bottles:

  1. Photograph the damage immediately before unpacking — include clear photos of the shipping box (all sides), the packing materials, and the damaged product as it sat in the box.

  2. Contact us within 7 days of delivery at cleaning.lab.info@gmail.com with your order number and the photos.

  3. We will, at our discretion, send a replacement product at no additional charge, or assist you in filing a claim with USPS.

 

Damage claims submitted after 7 days, or without photo evidence, will not be honored. This timing requirement is necessary to coordinate with USPS insurance windows.

Defective Products

A "defective" product is one with a manufacturing defect that materially impairs its intended use — for example, a malfunctioning sprayer, contaminated formula, or mislabeled bottle.

Normal product variation does not constitute a defect. This includes:

  • Color or appearance variations from website images

  • Scent or fragrance variations between batches

  • Subjective dissatisfaction with cleaning performance on specific surfaces

  • Surface compatibility issues (test patches are required — see Terms of Sale Section 14)

If you believe your product has a manufacturing defect:

  1. Contact us within 14 days of delivery at cleaning.lab.info@gmail.com.

  2. Describe the defect in writing and include photos.

  3. If we confirm the product is defective, we will send a replacement product at no charge, including replacement shipping.

Cash refunds are not provided for defect claims. Replacement is the exclusive remedy. This is set forth in detail in our Terms of Sale, Section 11.2.

Order Cancellation

Before Dispatch

You may cancel an order at any time before it has been dispatched by contacting us immediately at cleaning.lab.info@gmail.com or (718) 213-8586. We will issue a full refund.

After Dispatch

Once an order has been dispatched and a tracking number generated, the order cannot be cancelled. Your only options are:

  • Refuse delivery (treated as a return — return shipping cost and 15% restocking fee will apply, deducted from your refund)

  • Accept delivery and initiate a return under the standard return process above

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you ship to California? No. We do not ship to California due to Proposition 65 and VOC regulatory requirements that affect our product formulation. We are evaluating compliance options for future California market entry.

Do you ship to Alaska, Hawaii, or U.S. territories? No. Hazmat ground-shipping restrictions prevent us from shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands, or APO/FPO/DPO addresses.

Can I ship to a PO Box? No. USPS does not allow hazardous-material shipments to PO Boxes. You must provide a physical street address.

Can I expedite my order? Currently we offer USPS Priority Mail only. Express options are not available due to hazmat shipping restrictions.

Why can I only buy up to 4 bottles at a time? This is a USPS hazmat ground-shipping limit, not our preference. Larger orders may be split into multiple shipments at no extra cost — contact us to coordinate.

Can I return an opened bottle if I don't like it? No. We do not accept returns of opened or used products under any circumstances. This is standard for chemical products and is in place for safety, sanitary, and product-integrity reasons. We strongly recommend reviewing the product label and Safety Data Sheet (SDS) before purchase. SDS is available on request at cleaning.lab.info@gmail.com.

My package was damaged in transit — what do I do? Take clear photos of the package and damaged product immediately, then contact us within 7 days of delivery. See the Damaged or Leaking Upon Arrival section above.

My package shows "delivered" but I never received it. Contact us at cleaning.lab.info@gmail.com with your order number. We will assist in filing a claim with USPS for lost or stolen packages, but please note that under our Terms of Sale (Section 8) risk of loss transfers to you upon dispatch. We will help where reasonably possible but cannot guarantee replacement of stolen packages.

How long does a refund take? After we receive and approve your return, we issue refunds to your original payment method within 5–10 business days. The actual time it appears in your account depends on your bank or PayPal.

Where is the SDS for the product? Email us at cleaning.lab.info@gmail.com with the subject line "SDS Request" and the product name. We will email you the current Safety Data Sheet within 1 business day.
